Chris Sbonek

After graduating from University of Michigan - Ann Arbor with a degree in Neuroscience, Chris started as a purchase banker at Quicken Loans in 2012. After leaving Quicken, he also worked at United Wholesale Mortgage in 2015. After his time at UWM, he left the mortgage industry for several years before realizing that there was a need for good purchase loan originators, since most LO's were only trained to handle refinances. As a result, Mitten Mortgage Lending was founded in 2018 and has been primarily focused on generating referral based purchase business, resulting in Mitten being one of the top purchase brokerages in the state of Michigan. With communication and client experience as a key focus, Mitten has received over 250 five star reviews on google and facebook. Chris was also recently featured as a panelist at UWM Live 2024. 

 

Chris has been married to his wife Kim for two years and they are expecting a baby boy (any day now). In his free time, Chris enjoys investing in real estate and other businesses, traveling with Kim and their chocolate lab Bogey, Detroit sports teams/memorabilia, golf, paintball, guitar, and various other hobbies.
